Literature Course feedback from 4/8/10 presentation:
Thank you for coming to the class and showing us your newly published book. It was good to hear that 8 years of hard work pays off (not financially)! I really enjoyed your ideas/activities on how to motivate kids and encourage them to continue to work hard and follow their dreams.
John, I love your book! Our current curriculum doesn't have a lot on space so it is a great addition. Thank you for sharing your message of hard work and the long process of publishing a book. It was very inspiring.-
Really clever book! Very enlightening about becoming an author and getting published. Thanks for the great presentation!
John, Very energetic presentation! The book is great! Good luck on your furture books!
The presentation was wonderful! I really enjoyed hearding the background behind the book and publishing process. I learned so much and I'll be using your book as soon a PSSA's are over! I know my students will love it. Thank you!
Enjoyed hearing about the process of creating and getting published. Also, I never knew hoe it worked with the illustrator. I was surprised to hear how you never see each other. Thanks for the visit. I look forward to using your book and buying your next one. Good luck with your ongoing hobby!
I enjoyed your presentation. I thought the most interesting part was how much work went into writing one book. I know my students will be inspired by that. (You should charge! People would pay!)
John, Thanks for your visit. I particularly thought that learning about the books at various stages in the process--text/illustrator/sketches/finished products would be interesting for kids. Your powerpoint pictures were entertaining.
I thought it was wonderful how you talked about being the only one who can achieve your own dream. This is wonderful for kids to hear. I was interesting hearing the process involved with getting a book published. Thanks for your time!
Thanks for visiting our class. I really enjoyed your visit and your book is fabulous! I'm sure kids really respond to the humor and learn a lot without trying!
I enjoyed seeing the publisher's website and hearing about what it has to offer. Maybe next time you could show and talk about your own website too.
I really liked how you shared your struggle with getting your book published. I think it's a great lesson for kids. Congrats on the second book. I look forward to purchasing it!
I really enjoyed your presentation. You book is fabulous. When I taught first grade we used to teach a unit on planets. I wish I could have had your book then.
I REALLY enjoyed your presentation. I thought is was very interesting to see how the illustrations evolved and were matched to the text. I thought you made the process of writing sound challenging but accessible. I'd love to see your school talks and will definitely recommend you to our committee.
Thanks for the info about the publisher's website.
John, Thank you for your visit. It was very entertaining and informative. I especially liked your anectdotal stories on your writing experiences.
